Shauna Murphy, Chapter President

Shauna Murphy is part owner of Alpha & Omega Financial Group, an independent insurance agency in
Arizona & New Mexico. Alpha & Omega is truly a family-owned and operated business as she shares
ownership with her husband Mike and mother-in-law, Beatrice Holman. Shauna and Mike have been
married for 10 years and have 3 wonderful kids, Lily, Madeline & Brady. With the business and family
her life is very busy, a little chaotic, but usually always fun.

After graduating from NMSU in 2001, with a degree in Psychology, Shauna worked in the veterinary
field for 7 years as an office manager and CVT. Even though she loved the veterinary field, she did not
see much of a future. At the same time, her husband Mike was working for Qwest as an account
exectutive and getting very fed up with the corporate world. After reading an article in Money
Magazine about a family losing their California home due to a fire and soon realizing that they were
underinsured and could not re-build their home, Mike and Shauna began to look into the insurance
industry. Bea, Mike's mom owned Alpha & Omega Financial group in New Mexico and had worked in
the insurance industry, life, annuities, long term care, for over 12 years. To make a long story short,
they collaborated to open Alpha & Omega Financial group in Arizona and begin offering more
insurance products; in particular auto, home and business insurance. They worked with an agency out
of Colorado for four years, recently bought their business out completely and are now sole owners of
their agency.

Shauna & Mike's insurance agency offers to “shop the insurance companies for you.” They are licensed with 10 companies for auto, home & business and over 50 for life, long term care & annuities. Their belief is to educate, plan & protect, many people do not know what their insurance coverages are much less how they work. Mike and Shauna strive to find the best product for the best price along with
providing easy quoting & issuing, annual reviews and monthly helpful hints for family.

This road has not been an easy one, but it has enabled Shauna to be the mom she wants to be while also helping people make the right choices in protecting their families.
