Shamira van den Akker, Chapter President

Shamira moved to Orlando, Florida from San Juan, Puerto Rico in 1990 where she began working at Walt Disney World as an artist. Within a year she became a manager and learned exceptional customer service.  In 1998 she was offered a position at the Orlando International Airport and she quickly rose to the position of Revenue Manager. In 2003 she had her first son and decided to be a stay-at-home mom.  Still needing an income and longing to meet people in a professional atmosphere, she pursued many direct service companies, but none captured her passion until she began Premier.  She became a consultant for Premier Design’s jewelry in 2008, were she experienced great success and was invited to visit the manufacturing company in Dallas, Texas, and dine with the owners at their home.

She homeschools her two boys, and loves making a balance between family and business; sometimes the whole family gets involved in helping with the business which is very enjoyable for all. Now she finds her passion in helping her family, and empowering woman to feel confident.  The satisfaction she finds in helping woman change their wardrobe with accessories while building relationships from this connection has been a key for her successful business.
